Image+Nation, Montreal’s premiere LGBT Film Festival, is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

It’s Fall. Back to school, back to life. But just around the corner is some well deserved pleasure: image+nation 20! For two decades, the Festival has proudly presented a crop of the best LGBT-themed and inspired films from around the globe for 11 days of exciting and moving queer images. image+nation, held this year from November 15 - 25 will not disappoint, offering visual treats for all cinematic appetites.

This year’s festival pays homage to two decades of queer filmmakers and filmmaking. After 20 years, what has emerged is an incredible maturation within queer cinema. Now far away from the closet door, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and transsexual image-making are moving beyond affirmation to explore the multiple aspects and influences in our lives. image+nation 20 reflects and celebrates this, while taking stock and reveling in classics of the past.

This year our programming includes a roster of compelling and engaging international titles, from such countries as France, Israel, Belgium, Brazil, Hungary, Thailand, Argentina, Australia, Germany, Norway, Korea and Mexico. Some of the exciting highlights include the Québec premieres of :
