Dos Patrias Christian Liffers 01:22:00 Germany/Cuba
N. CALIFORNIAN PREMIERE
Director Christian Liffers travels to Cuba to seek reflections on the poems and prose of Cuban author Reinaldo Arenas, writings that describe the desire for love, sexual freedom and the proud and unbending fight against discrimination. Are these desires and attitudes still to be found in Cuba? These poems and prose are the reference point for the protagonists and their personal stories of present-day Cuba. Six men of different backgrounds and ages describe their life, afflictions, desires, longings and joys in Cuba. With some things in common–homosexuality (with the exception of Isabel, the transsexual) and social exclusion from the Cuban “Machismo-society”—they also have significant differences.

Team Queen Leah Meyerhoff 3:37 USA
A gender-bending, fire-breathing, tassel-twirling, post-punk rock ‘n roll prom. Featuring the best of New York burlesque: including Murray Hill, Julie Atlas Muz, Tigger, and Scotty the Blue Bunny.
